Abstract: It is more difficult to construct ocean reservoirs due to the complexity of ocean environment such as meteorology, tide, current, wave, topographic landforms and geologic conditions. Those reservoirs are influenced by stormy surge and other extreme climates, even attacked easily by stormy waves. In the case of sea water environment, the difficulty of seepage resistance and construction cost of ocean reservoir have to be increased to a high extent so as to guarantee the quality of water in the reservoirs. In general, an ocean reservoir consists of the embankment around the reservoir, water intake and pumping gate, water pumping station, water pumping gate well and control center etc. CCCC First Harbor Consultants Co. , Ltd. (FHC) has successfully completed a great amount of ocean engineering design with respect to complex meteorology, tide, current, wave, topographic landforms and geologic conditions. The above engineering practices involve waterway, ship gate, sand-retaining breakwater, artificial island, sea reclamation, revetment etc. Thus, a complete set of techniques and theory can be followed to carry out the construction of ocean reservoirs
