Abstract: The water amount of the Yarkant River, the Hetian River and the lower reaches of the Tarim River is decreasing with the development of reclamation and the change of the hydraulic conditions of the water system of the lower reaches of the Tarim River. The worst is that water from these rivers is cut off so that vegetation decline and land desertification are formed. The ecologic environment is getting worse and worse. We should take measures immediately.
