Abstract: In this article are described the analysis of pressure and vibration measurements in a pump-turbine to identify the source of vibrations in a structure close to the power plant. A hydraulic excitation at twice the blade-passing frequency was the excitation that cause the vibrations. The amplitude was enhanced by hydraulic and mechanical resonance.
