Abstract: The Tarim River, located in inland arid areas, has unique natural conditions and its formation is usually in fluenced by certain hydraulic elements. The environment is deteriorating due to the human activities of the past 30 years is caused by a lack of consideration and the exp loitation and utilization of water resources. For example, notable changes have taken place in discharge, water quality, hydrogeology, soil, desertification, vegetation, etc. People are concerned about this and urgent plans must be made.
