Abstract: A comparative study of the numerical method of analysis between two methods of implicit and explicit is concerned in the light of mathematical simulations of the plane and multi-layer flow in Lake Biwa. the biggest lake in Japan. Both methods can realize the large- scale lake flow behaviors, with some different patterns, and must fur ther be sophisticated to reveal the detailed flow behaviors in view of dynamic aspect. The simulation method will also give suppl emental informations to scarce field observa- tions.
