Abstract: In connection with an water on long diatance there's a need in projecting and building large earth canals of large extent with water diacharge of sme 1000-2500m~3/s. Since in the World hydraulic engineering there's no prototype for projecting large canals with gand bed, the validity of the calculation te chniques will be governed by truth of the basic calculated de penden- cies in use for a wide range of full- scale and laboratory date. Thue it is essential to carry out special 18 boretory modelling intended to investigate a behaviour of a stable canal parameters and generalize the data obtained with measurements pe rf ormed in the field. In the report are given the results of & study underteken to determine the laws of sand bed formation with clarified water at large experimentla canals.
