Abstract:

To address the limited regulation capacity of pumped storage units under the "dual-high" characteristics of a new power system, we developed an integrated simulation–analysis–optimization framework. Within this framework, a "fast pump-to-turbine" optimization strategy was proposed, utilizing coordinated guide vane pre-opening control. This strategy reduces the transition time between operating modes by 49.77%, while maintaining pressure fluctuation amplification below 10%. The proposed approach offers effective technological support for overcoming the challenges associated with renewable energy integration.
