Abstract: This study focused on developing a multipurpose harbour in Weligama Bay, considering the requirements of key stakeholders such as fishermen, boat manufacturers, and water tourism participants. A harbour master plan was developed, with the north basin for fishery activities and the south basin for boat launching, water tourism, and international yacht berthing. Using the MIKE 21 modeling system, coastal processes including waves, hydrodynamics, and sediment transport were analyzed. Results showed that these processes are within safe limits. Overall, the proposed harbour is technically feasible and meets engineering standards.
