Abstract: Climate change is placing significant pressure on urban drainage networks. Nature-based solutions can play a crucial role in adaptation and risk mitigation. However, their efficiency varies depending on the type of infrastructure and is heavily influenced by the meteorological and climatic characteristics of the area where they are applied. Currently, various databases and operational guidelines are available to support the use of NBS. These resources have been developed with a large-scale focus (global and continental). Nevertheless, there is a notable lack of such support tools at the national and regional levels. The SUNRISE project aims to fill this gap for the Italian territory.
