Keywords: Hydromorphology river sediment transport MIKE 21C Sardinian basin

Abstract: The paper presents the application of a combined approach of an upgraded version of IDRAIM and MIKE 21C to a pilot river basin in the South-Eastern of Sardinia (Italy). The main results focus on the effects of sediment transport on flood hazard in a infrastructural scenario selected by a preliminary screening of IDRAIM. Specifically, we want to emphasise the sensitivity of the hydraulic parameters (flooded area, level and velocity) in order to provided some insights and data in the design of flood mitigation infrastructures.
