Abstract: Tides in Sunda Shelf are of significant interest for several different reasons. Tides, which can have amplitude of several meters, have been relatively well documented over years. At ports that are most significant, more contemporary methods of harmonic analysis and prediction are now utilised to forecast tides. Hence, due to complex bathymetry and flow patterns at study area, high resolution regional ocean and coastal models are needed to learn more about dynamical processes of flow field and figure out how much water moves through two main passages, namely Sunda Shelf (SS) and Strait of Malacca (SM). Aim of study is to utilize tidal harmonic constants databases to force tidal boundary conditions at open seas for modelling tidal hydrodynamic processes in study domain of Sunda Shelf. In addition, this study also investigate water circulations, transport, and boundary conditions of Sunda Shelf seas utilizing two-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling system. As expected finding, it is observed to simulate dynamics of water circulations and to estimate seasonal and annual variations of volume in South China Sea and Strait of Malacca.
