Digital Hydraulic Jump at Froude Number 6 Properties Along the Hydraulic Jump Lenght

Abstract: A Computational fluid dynamics model within OpenFOAM® to simulate air-water flow in a Froude number 6 free-hydraulic jump is applied in this study. Different description of turbulence and two-phase flows models are used, and their results computed to evaluate different properties along the hydraulic jump. The agreement between the numerical results and laboratory measurements was improved in comparison with previous simulations. Sub-grid models represent a good compromise between accuracy and computational cost.
