Abstract: All types of construction, including bridges, should avoid things that can cause damage to the construction. Constructions of the bridge are generally divided into two categories that are up and down constructions. Damage of bridge construction usually occurs on the scouring of pier and abutments and result in reduced stability of bridge construction. The bridge is a construction that connects two regions separated by barriers which are lower as rivers, valleys, or roads. Construction of bridge must safe from any kind of interference that can cause damage such as scouring on bridge piers. Bridge pier failure due to of local scouring occurred in many countries such as in Iraq, Portugal, California, USA and Comal Bridge in Indonesia. In this study, local scour was analyzed on four bridges along Comal River, Central Jawa, Indonesia using empirical proposed models include Laursen (1962), Neill (1965), Hanco (2012), Colorado State University, CSU (2012), and the Florida DOT Scour Methodology (2012). The result showed CSU (2012) models are the most proper model for local scouring analysis on bridge piers of Comal River
