Abstract: Hydroinformatics is currently undergoing a paradigm shift, transitioning from passive data observation and static hydraulic modeling to dynamic, autonomous, and immersive systems. This paper proposes a visionary framework for the "AI Era" of water management, defined not merely by faster computation but by the convergence of cognitive intelligence (Agentic AI), physical autonomy (Robotics), and immersive realization (Metaverse). We argue that the integration of these technologies creates a "sentient" water infrastructure capable of self-optimization, predictive maintenance, and real-time crisis response. Drawing on recent advancements in AI and Hydroinformatics Lab, we outline a future where water systems are actively managed by autonomous agents that perceive, reason, and act, fundamentally altering the decision-support landscape for utilities and policymakers.
