Abstract: HydroEurope is an Erasmus cooperative partnership project of 6 European universities dealing with flash flood modelling for six specific case studies in Europe. Initiated by several flash floods in 2021, the HydroEurope partners identified relevant gaps in their local water related course programs related to flash floods. To overcome this gap, 6 different case studies were selected to develop 6 times 3 teaching units on uncertainties in hydrological and hydraulic modelling, on climate change impact to flash floods and on accidental water pollution. These teaching units were evaluated in three training courses with 319 students and 18 teachers in total and are available as open educational recourses. This material is a valuable extension in hydroinformatics education for the challenging flash flood modelling and management tasks using real case studies as pre-professional training for students in Europe.
