Abstract: Results of experimental investigation of the velocity and concentration vertical distribution through the flow, carrying, sand and grained coal particles in smooth and rough flumes with high solid particle concentration, ranging from 0.02 to 33%, are presented. A comparison of some theoretical formulae and experimental data has been made. The effect of suspended flow concentration rise on the Von Karman constant, wake strength coefficient and Darcy-Weisbach friction factor is also shown.
