Thermally non-uniform flow in water reservoir: numerical investigation

Abstract: A compulalional procedure was developed to calculate a non-stationary flow of stratified fluid by an implicit finite-difference method of the second order approximation by time and coordinates. Different models of turbulent viscosity were used in calculations. Through the example ofcalculating a year thermal cycle for the running water reservoir being under project at the Ust-Srednekanskaya power station, a restricted character of k-ε. model of turbulent viscosity was shown.
