Abstract: A one-dimensional finite differences model, based on the dispersion equation with the proper source and sink terms, is used for the prediction of the cohesive sediment transport under simultaneous conditions of erosion and deposition. The validity of the model is verified from actual field data for the Savannah, USA, estuary.
