Abstract: In the present analytical study a two dimensional analytical model was developed for calculating air concentration in airwater flows. To do so, the related partial differential equations in the whole flow domain were solved. The solution was then applied in a free surface flow with air content. The results of analytical model was verified and compared with a numerical and another analytical model. The concluded results showed close agreement with previous data. This comparison showed also that the decrease in air concentration near the channel bed in an aerated flow could be well predicted by the model.
