Abstract: The spur dikes are structures which used for flow diversion from erodible wall and create an appropriate path to flow conductivity, flood control, protection of external walls and some other cases. Through modifying of hydraulic condition and creating of smooth flow, spur dikes can decrease water erosion force and power of sediments transfer. In this research by using of Flow-3D numerical model, channel and spur dike of Heltz lab model have been verified in software and RNG turbulence model is used for modeling. The turbulent flow field around inclined spur dike and effect of various parameters such as angle, hydraulic conditions and also sedimentation pattern have been investigated. Investigation results show that increasing of the angle of spur dike effects on the length and width of sedimentation area. When spur dike angle increases from 90 to 120 degrees the width and length of the sedimentation zone increase to%71 and%92 respectively.
