Abstract: Braiding is common in fluvial processes, and study on braiding channel characteristics is valuable in river engineering. This paper contributes a numerical modeling practice to focus on the split ratio of braiding water flow. In order to improve the water discharge in North-branch of the Ba-Gua-Zhou braiding channels in Nanjing of Yangtze River, several river engineering treatments are tried to study the influence factors of the branch discharge split ratio. The optimal combination scheme of river engineering treatments and structures can then be selected as a referee to river engineers.
