Abstract: Following the tradition of the biannual IAHR World Congresses,the 39th edition (originally to be held in 2021) took place inGranada (Spain) from 19 to 24 June 2022. The organisationof the event was very complex due to the COVID-19 pandemic,as it was in fact the first major international face-to-face eventsince 2019. Nearly 1200 people from more than 70 countriesattended the congress, whose central topics developed aroundthe congress theme "From Snow to Sea".
