Abstract: The paper considers the contribution of surface waves into the transport of pollutants. Making use of the solution for potential waves in the water, terms accounting for their impact on the pollutants transport have been formulated. Account is made of the waves role in the vertical turbu-lent mixing. Incorporated into the two-parameter model of turbulence (the kinetic energy and the rate of its dissipa-tion) is a member accounting for the waves' contribution in-to the generation of turbulent kinetic energy.
