Abstract: Less attention has been payed recently to exploit ocean energy than in the 70's because the price of oil declined consistently in the 80's.Still research onutilizing renewable natural energies should be continued since it will be vitalfor our life in the future. We had developed a highly efficient wave power extractor,named Pendulorwhich had already been disclosed elsewhere¹>.2),3).In this paper characteris-tics of wave force on the members of the system and the stability of caisson areexamined.Since the system is structurally and dynamicaly unusual,their forcesand stability are hardly figured out with conventional design approach.They,however,as well as the mechanical efficiency of extracting device are key ele-ments to doninate the cost of energy extracted from ocean waves.
