Abstract: The Rio Apure in Venezuela flows eastward from its origin in the Andes670 kilometers to its confluence with Rio Orinoco.The Apure's basin,Figure 1,is situated between 66°33'W and 72°00′W longitude,and between 07°10N and10°00′N latitude;it covers an area of 145,125 square kilometers.
