Abstract: In filtration from rain produced overland flow is investigated as the source of water for groundwater recharge. A conjun ctive surface-subsurface flow mathematical simu lation model is utilized to study the effects of soil propert ies and rainfall. The effects of soil porosity, saturated hydraulic conductivity, unsaturated soil characteristics, rain duration and rain intensity have been found significant. Conversely, the effect of the time pattern of rainfall has been found only of secondary importance.
