Abstract: Variations of unconfined groundwater level with time and space in an alluvial plain which is bounded by two rivers and a sea are simulated numerically by means of the finite element method, taking the seepage from the ground surface due to rainfall into consideration. The simulation results are proved to be reasonable, using field data observed continuously.
