Abstract: A series of experimen tal laboratory results, obtained by scientists working independently is considered as the origin of the questioning of the validity of the classical dispersion equation. These scien tists have noticed discrepancies betw een experimental results and theoretical results from the modelling by means of the classical dispersion equation of their laboratory and field experiments. Dispersivities were proportional to a scale of the experiments, since dispersion coefficient increased if distance between inject ion and observations of pollutants in creased. Pores are not of uniform size and shape in natural porous media and flow through larger pores or interstices is faster. The effect of the interstices is increasing of geometrical dispersion coefficient in classical dispersion equation dependent of flow length.
