Abstract: The article dealg with gome problens, associated with two- and three-dimensional equations of water motion in riverg and reservoirs with an account of their natnral com plex hydrometric pattern. From common three-dinensional equation of liquid motion by li-nearization and lateral coordinate averaging differential equation of motion, with an account of a velocity vertlcal component, has been obtained. To study qualltatively the effect of a reservoir narrowing in plen and verticelly a particuler case of water stre- am width variation as exponential dependences has been discussed. An analyticel solut1- on of gome problems resulted in design dependences, obtained in an explicit form for standing and progressing waves. It has been determined that an eccount of water stream narrowing eignificantly changes the pattern of llquid motion.
