Abstract: Fresh water flow issuing a river mouth becomes a rapidly varied flow in case of inertia and buoyancy forces being dominant. Fresh water flow is investigated theoretically and experimentally to find a boundary condition and flow structures at the mouth. An: analysis consldering the effects of a streamline curvature is made to determine the position and the fresh water depth of a control section.
