Abstract: In this study, first, the Reynolds numbers to which physical meaning was given on non-Newtonian fluid were proposed, and the dimensionless coefficients included in them were theoretically determined by comparing with the Reynolds numbers hydraulically defined separately. Here, the Reynolds numbers determined hydraulically were those for utilizing the Moody diagram for non-Newtonian fluid. In order to confirm the law of resistance of fluid using the above extended Reynolds numbers and others, the experiment using the fluid of water and bentonite mixture was carried out, and it was experimentally confirmed that the dimens-ionless coefficient kbecame 0.16`0.18 in laminar flow region, and k_2 became 1.0 for high viscosity fluid. Besides, it was found by experiment that even the same fluid was able to be regarded as following the law of resistance for non-Newtonian fluid such as Bingham fluid in the case of small flow rate, but regarded as following the law of resistance for Newtonian fluid in the case of large flow rate, and its limiting value was proposed.
