Abstract: In an increasingly interconnected world, international organizations play a pivotal role in coordinating policies across borders, addressing complex global challenges that no single nation can resolve alone. Among these, international water-related organizations hold a unique and critical position, especially as climate change and extreme weather events -- such as floods and droughts -- escalate in frequency and intensity. These organizations are essential in addressing urgent environmental issues, supporting disaster response, and shaping sustainable water resource management worldwide. In this context, effective information management has become fundamental to the operations of water-related organizations. Robust management systems enable these organizations to make timely, informed decisions, foster collaboration, and build resilience in the face of emerging challenges. This paper presents an overview of information management practices in international water organizations, illustrated through the management system developed by the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR). By examining the architecture, key functionalities, and impact of IAHR's system, this study highlights the importance of information management for advancing the mission of water-related organizations in the 21st century.
