An SPH Model of Moving Porous Media with Infiltration

Abstract: We propose a numerical model for highly deformable, granular porous matrix with water infiltration. The model, based on the numerical method Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), uses a particle-based Riemann solver. We give two validation examples showing that our model performs satisfactorily.
