Abstract: In coastal areas, due to the highly turbulent and multi-phase flow problems in the gas region caused by wave breaking, the overall void ratio measurement has always been valued in the study of flow characteristics, kinetic energy and energy related to fluid density. The instantaneous interaction between the water surface and the air during the wave breaking wave process in the coastal area is extremely complex, because the dynamics of the air are almost impossible to obtain in experiments, and is a very complicate problem with is closely related to the erosion problems in the coastal area with mangroves. This study intends to quantified the phenomenon and velocity distribution of both water and gas using the PIV method, and also the interactions due to energy losses in between. The water-gas velocity field problem in the wave-breaking process of different wave-breaking types in the impermeable slope bottom is discussed.
