Particle Method for Simulation of Shallow and Dispersed Overland Flow

Abstract: Numerical computation of runoff and inundation due to rainfalls is most commonly done by solving 2-dimensional Shallow Water Equations (SWE) with varying degrees of simplification of the depth-averaged equations of motion but with almost the same method (Manning’s friction formula) of representing the ground friction.
