Abstract: The flood response in changing environments has become an important area of research in hydrology. For typhoon-affected regions, how to attribute the impacts of climate change and human activities on the trends of flood peak series induced with typhoon and non-typhoon rainstorm are important issues. Therefor, it proposed a framework that combined the classification of typhoon and non-typhoon rainstorm floods, a method to forward restore the impact of land use change based on distributed hydrological model, and trend analysis. A case study in Jinjiang Xixi basin, a typical basin on the southeast coast of China, was conducted. The results showed that: (1) There was a significant difference in the trend of flood peak series between typhoon and non-typhoon rainstorms under the influence of climate change and human activities. (2) The differences in trends between the forward restored and the corresponding measured flood series were small, indicating that climate change was the main factor that influences on the trend changes in typhoon and non-typhoon rainstorm floods and land use changes had less of an impact.
