Abstract: This paper has accomplished real-time monitoring of hydrological elements for cross-sea bridges, developing a system with modular functions for receiving, processing, storing, displaying, as well as warning and forecasting of on-site measured data. In 2020, this system successfully collected hydrological data during the passage of Typhoon Haikui in the Pearl River Estuary, providing a reliable basis for disaster prevention and mitigation and stable operation of cross-sea bridges. The paper conducts a statistical analysis of wave monitoring data during the typhoon, offering references and insights for related bridge and marine engineering fields.
