Abstract: Urban water systems (UWSs) are essential infrastructures for sustainable city development but are responsible for significant environmental burdens due to energy-intensive operations and chemical consumption. This study presents a comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) for Seoul Metropolitan City (SMC), integrating static LCA and dynamic scenario analysis to identify environmental hotspots and evaluate mitigation pathways toward carbon neutrality by 2050.
