Abstract: Nowadays, water companies in the UK and worldwide face a significant challenge as they have ageing assets, have to deal with budget and resource constraints and, yet, they need to meet increasing customer expectations. To effectively respond to network events (e.g. pipe bursts/leaks, equipment failure, etc.), water companies must proactively manage the full life-cycle of events in the right priority and in a speedy manner.
