Following the cancellation of the 13th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics (ISE2020) in May at Lyon, the Local Organising Committee decided to maintain the symposium, via an online version with a reduced number of presentations. This collection includes all playback videos of the online seminar of ISE 2020.
The symposium is jointly convened by the Technical Committee on Ecohydraulics of International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR). Ecohydraulics focuses on linkages between hydrodynamics, geomorphology, hydrology and ecological processes in freshwater, marine and lentic ecosystems. It is a highly interdisciplinary field that brings together a community working on topics such as aquatic movements of biota and bioenergetics, dynamics of sediment and nutrient transport, effects of flow regime regulation and physical restoration on aquatic habitats, and many others (see the Ecohydraulics website for more general informations on the community).
A major objective of ISE 2020 is to combine outstanding science and management of aquatic ecosystems. This two-day web seminar includes presentations by:
Six speakers selected by the keynote invited speakers, contributing to Special Issues for the Journal of Ecohydraulics
Two students awarded for their recent contribution to the Journal of Ecohydraulics, selected by the editorial team
Four early career speakers presenting Ecohydraulic research from diverse geographical locations, selected by EcoEnet
One speaker from the Euroflow network
