Mixing Processes in Pipes, Sewers and the natural Environment. From Theory to Practice

Mixing Processes in Pipes, Sewers and the natural Environment. From Theory to Practice | 18-19 April 2023. University of Sheffield, United Kingdom

This free-to-attend meeting provided a unique opportunity for research students, academics, researchers, environmental regulators, engineering consultants and water utilities to hear the latest international research on mixing processes.

The two-day workshop presented recent international research findings, and practical implications, of mixing processes of soluble materials across a range of different water environment. It was a great success with over 50 people attending the in-person talks each day.

International Surface Velocimetry Workshop | 3-5 October 2022 - Forrest Hills, Lancaster University, United Kingdom

International Surface Velocimetry Workshop 2022This workshops welcomes contributions on new measurement, theoretical, numerical and signal processing velocimetry methods related to river and open channel flows. Case studies and critical applications of modern velocimetry methods are very welcome.

Co-organised by the University of Sheffield, the Unversity of Lancaster and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and is supported by the UK chapter of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR).
