Special Session on Education and Professional Development

13:30 - 15:00, 26 Jun, Singapore EXPO (UTC+8), ROOM 17

IAHR is pleased to invite all participants of the 41st IAHR World Congress to attend a special session on Education and Professional Development organised by the IAHR Label Committee, focusing on the evolving landscape of professional education in water engineering. The session is set for June 26 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM in Room 17 at Singapore EXPO.

This special session will highlight how leading academic institutions are advancing educational approaches to meet the demands of the modern water sector. Through comprehensive presentations, the session will showcase innovative programmes and research opportunities designed to equip future water professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to address contemporary global challenges.

A central feature of the session will be the presentation of 4-6 diverse educational programmes. These case studies will not only illustrate current academic initiatives but will also guide participants through the process of how an educational programme can be recognised and officially labelled by IAHR.

Following the presentations, a 20–30 minute open discussion will be held with the presenters, offering attendees an opportunity to engage directly, ask questions, and contribute to the conversation on shaping the future of water education.
