Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research| Vol. 13. Issue 2, 2025 is out!

The Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (JAWER) publishes papers and practical case studies on all aspects of hydro-environment engineering and research. JAWER welcomes applications related to integrated water resources management and hydro-policy and aims for international dissemination of innovative methods that will specifically showcase studies on interfacing technology-based solutions within the hydro-environment and their ecological value and services.

 Overview

Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (JAWER)This issue is composed by six papers. The first paper is about the treatment of the industrial wastewater containing dye using a floating treatment wetland (FTW). There two papers about hydraulic simulation of spillways, one about numerical model studies to assess the hydraulic safety of the spillway under various conditions and another about the hydraulic performance of hydrofoil-crested stepped spillways. There is another paper about the velocity field simulation in a 90° bend with the spur dike using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Finally, there are two papers about hydrology and nature-based solutions, one is the application of the spatially lumped Sacramento Soil Moisture Accounting (SAC-SMA) model to 12 Colombian watersheds located in the Andean region, and the second one is the application of the concept of partially permeable sediment and driftwood detention with the help of a physical model, based on a case study in Switzerland.
