The Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (JAWER) publishes papers and practical case studies on all aspects of hydro-environment engineering and research. JAWER welcomes applications related to integrated water resources management and hydro-policy and aims for international dissemination of innovative methods that will specifically showcase studies on interfacing technology-based solutions within the hydro-environment and their ecological value and services.

Overview
This issue is composed by six papers. There is one paper about how to assess the impact of soil hydraulic properties estimated from pedotransfer functions (PTFs) on the simulated of water movement. There are two papers using model SWAT, one simulating streamflow in Sironko catchment on Mt. Elgon, Eastern Uganda and other evaluating the climate change influence on hydropower energy in the Likhu Basin, located in central Nepal. There is a paper about groundwater, delineating groundwater recharge zones in semi-arid zones in NW Algeria, another paper about hydraulic turbine design and finally, one paper about the influence of waves on the sediment transport in the coastal area of Baixada Santista, Brazil.
