Join us for the next 9th IAHR Europe Congress on "Arctic Waters and Beyond. Innovating Hydro-Environment Engineering for a sustainable future" which will be held in Luleå, Sweden from 9 to 11 June 2026!
Luleå is considered as the world's largest brackish water archipelago with 1,312 islands, several rivers and vast forestland. Luleå has the seventh biggest harbor in Sweden, a large steel industry and is a center for extensive research. Luleå University of Technology is one of Sweden's three technology universities with around 15,000 students and is the northernmost university in Sweden.
Dear Esteemed Guests and Participants,
We are delighted to welcome you to the 9th IAHR Europe Congress, Arctic Waters and Beyond: Innovating Hydro-Environment Engineering for a Sustainable Future in Luleå, Sweden, 9-12 of June 2026. This gathering brings together leading minds, researchers, and professionals dedicated to advancing hydro-environment engineering and exploring sustainable solutions for our planet's most critical water challenges. Venue
The Congress will be held at Kulturens hus - House of Culture in central Luleå with a magnificent view over the Northern harbour.
Situated close to the Arctic Circle, Luleå enjoys 24 hours of daylight in June. Its location by the Bothnian Sea offers opportunities to relax in the archipelago or along the sandy beaches on the coast.
