The Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (JAWER) publishes papers and practical case studies on all aspects of hydro-environment engineering and research. JAWER welcomes applications related to integrated water resources management and hydro-policy and aims for international dissemination of innovative methods that will specifically showcase studies on interfacing technology-based solutions within the hydro-environment and their ecological value and services.

 Overview

Volume 13, Issue 4 of the Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research brings together a set of research articles and a case report that address key challenges in applied water engineering, hydrology, and environmental management across diverse regional contexts. The contributions cover topics ranging from agricultural water productivity and irrigation efficiency of potato crops in Ethiopia, and the drought propagation in India, to innovative wastewater treatment materials, food analysis of dam breach in Nepal, and advanced measurement techniques for hydraulic scour assessment.

In addition, this issue includes a case report that applies a combined hydrograph–salinograph approach to analyze streamflow dynamics in the Lake Urmia Basin, Iran, offering insights into basin-scale hydrological processes. Collectively, the studies presented in this issue emphasize practical methodologies, emerging technologies, and applied analyses that support sustainable water resources management, risk mitigation, and environmental protection, while reflecting the journal’s commitment to bridging scientific research and engineering practice.
