Call for proposals to host the 17th International Conference on Hydroinformatics in 2028

Dear Members of the IAHR/IWA Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics,

As you may know, the International Hydroinformatics International Conference on Hydroinformatics Series is a successful format of thematic conferences on the possible links between water and technology (models, sensors, data, etc.). Every two years, the Conference recalls the interests of hundreds of scientists and hi-tech companies willing to share their research in a lively discussion environment.

The 15th International Conference on Hydroinformatics conference was held in Beijing in May 2024. 

The 16th International Conference on Hydroinformatics will be held in Zaragoza, Spain in June 2026.

The IAHR/IWA Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics is inviting interested parties to submit Expressions of Interest (EoI) to host the HIC 2028 congress. As IWA and IAHR jointly organize the conference, proposals has to comply with both the requirements of the two co-organizers (not much different indeed).

If you are interested in hosting the conference, please review and fill in the attached file with relevant information and email your submission to the Joint Committee Chair Ibrahim Demir (idemir@tulane.edu) by 15 April 2026. The Leading Team will preselect the most exciting and valuable EoIs and ask the presenters to prepare a full proposal according to IWA and IAHR guidance (budget and full description) for the final decision by the end of the year.
