New IAHR Europe Division Study Examines Recent Flood Disasters Across Europe

 Overview

A new collaborative study by IAHR Europe Division has been published in the International Journal of River Basin Management.

The article, Recent flood disasters in Europe (2007–2025): comparative analysis and policy implications for climate-resilient governance examines major flood disasters across Europe between 2007 and 2025, drawing lessons for climate-resilient governance, flood risk management, and adaptation strategies in an era of increasing hydrological extremes. 

This publication is the result of a remarkable collaborative effort led through the IAHR Europe Division Leadership Team, bringing together experts from across Europe to contribute their perspectives and experiences.

The article is available free to read for a limited time, until the end of January 2027.
