Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research | Vol. 10. Issue 2, 2022

The Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (JAWER) publishes papers and practical case studies on all aspects of hydro-environment engineering and research. JAWER welcomes applications related to integrated water resources management and hydro-policy and aims for international dissemination of innovative methods that will specifically showcase studies on interfacing technology-based solutions within the hydro-environment and their ecological value and services.

 Overview

Issue 2 of JAWER, the second of 2022, following the philosophy of JAWER, combines papers from several different water-related fields, highlighting the diversity of topics that are present in this journal. The first three papers are related to water quality and chemical processes, and they explore the following areas: applying neuronal networks to determine coagulant dose in a water treatment plant in India, the elimination of Uranyl from aqueous solutions, and the results of removing arsenic from water. The second paper evaluates water scarcity in a river basin in India using a blue water scarcity indicator and through an analysis of influential factors. Other papers assess scour problems in Ethiopia applying HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS. Finally, the last paper develops a discrete finite element model to simulate the nonlinear pressure-discharge relationship in water networks.
