Abstract: The Decision Support System (DSS) for flood forecasting is a system which can determine hydrologic future response of basin before a forecasted adverse meteorological phenomenon. It is made up of a set of hydrologic and hydraulic models and computer tools that allow users to simulate, in real time, the evolution and behavior of the water all along the basin. This kind of systems, coupled with Automatic System of Hydrologic Information (SAIH) have became an indispensable tools to support flood reservoir management and to mitigate hydrograms or advance the alerts to reduce damage.
